Banking & Compliance
Corporate bank account opening, prepared properly.
A corporate account is not a formality. It is a business credibility review. We prepare and submit the file properly, and tell you honestly whether your profile is one the banks are opening for.
What it covers
We prepare the file. The bank makes the decision.
We select the bank, prepare the KYC file, write the short business plan, brief you for the interview and track the file to a decision.
01
Bank selection
Banks differ in risk appetite, minimum balance, digital banking and sector comfort. We match the bank to your profile instead of applying everywhere.
02
The KYC file
Company documents, shareholder documents and source-of-funds evidence, organised the way compliance teams read them.
03
A business plan for the bank
A short plan that explains what the company does, who it buys from and sells to, and how money will move. We write it.
04
Interview briefing
You know what the bank will ask before it asks, and your answers match the forms.
05
Submission and tracking
Submitted through the relationship manager and followed to a decision, with a second bank in parallel where the profile needs it.
06
After opening
Guidance on running the account in line with what you told the bank: KYC refreshes, activity changes and clean records.
Who it is for
Every profile has a route. Some are slower.
Two questions decide the file: do you hold a UAE residence visa and Emirates ID, and can you travel to the UAE once?
Your starting point
Four profiles
- Visa and Emirates ID in hand: most banks will look at the file
- No visa, but you can travel once: branch KYC on a visit entry
- No visa and no travel: fewer routes, slower, and it can fail
- A company formed elsewhere: we prepare the file for your existing licence
Residency and presence are not the same thing. One trip to the UAE opens far more doors than none.
What we will not do
Our lines
- Promise an account: the decision belongs to the bank
- Supply a signatory, a power of attorney holder or a nominee
- Present a payment platform as a UAE bank account
- Tell you an Emirates ID is legally required: it is bank policy, not law
No bank or free zone in the UAE can guarantee an account, whatever the marketing says.
Plan banking before the licence.
The activity on the licence must match the story you tell the bank. We review it before choosing a package, not after.
Sort the mobile number first.
Banks tie one-time passwords to a UAE mobile number. We solve that before applying, because it is a common reason a file stalls after approval.
How it works
Five steps, one file.
For clients setting up with us, this runs inside activation. For existing companies, it runs on its own.
01
Qualify
Your visa status, travel, activity, trade corridors and expected turnover set the route.
You get: an honest read on your odds
02
Checklist
A document checklist for the chosen bank, in the bank's own terms.
You get: one list, nothing missing
03
Prepare
Business plan, KYC pack and cover note written, and you are briefed on the questions.
You get: a file compliance can follow
04
Submit and track
Filed through the relationship manager, with a parallel application where the profile needs it.
You get: a named contact and a tracked reference
05
Decision
On approval, the IBAN confirmation is filed with your company documents.
You get: a working company account
What you need
A clean file, prepared once.
Not every bank asks for every item, but a complete file moves faster.
The company
- Trade licence
- Certificate of formation or incorporation
- MOA or AOA, and the share certificate
- Board or shareholder resolution to open the account
- Lease, flexi-desk or co-working agreement
Shareholders and signatories
- Passport, and visa page and Emirates ID where held
- Proof of address under three months old, if non-resident
- Six months of personal bank statements
- Source of funds and source of wealth declaration
- CV or professional profile
What wins the file
- A short business plan, which we write
- Named suppliers and buyers, with their countries
- Contracts, purchase orders or proforma invoices, even one of each
- Expected monthly turnover, currencies and corridors
- A live website and an email on the company domain
Time and cost
What to expect, realistically.
Typical, not guaranteed. Bank policy on non-resident clients changes often, and the bank decides.
- 3 to 10
- working days with a UAE visa and Emirates ID in hand
- 1 to 3
- weeks with no visa, where you travel once for branch KYC
- 3 to 8
- weeks where the shareholder will not travel, and it can fail
Minimum balances and monthly fees are set by each bank and change without notice, so we confirm them with the bank before you apply. For clients setting up with us, bank account setup is part of the standard setup. For an existing company, our fee: Subject to your needs, we will discuss.

Corporate banking, answered.
Straight answers to what founders ask before they apply.
01Is a trade licence enough to open a UAE bank account?
No. A trade licence lets the company exist and operate, but banks still review company structure, activity, shareholder profile, source of funds, expected transactions and overall risk as part of their due diligence and anti-money-laundering obligations.
02Do I need an Emirates ID?
No UAE law requires an Emirates ID to open a corporate account. Some banks ask for a UAE-resident signatory as a matter of policy, and that policy varies by bank. A shareholder without a visa who travels once for branch KYC can approach most banks.
03Can you guarantee the account?
No, and no bank or free zone in the UAE can either. We prepare and submit the file properly, apply to more than one bank where the profile needs it, and tell you honestly whether your profile is one the banks are opening for. The decision belongs to the bank's compliance department.
04Why are applications delayed or rejected?
Common reasons are unclear activity, activity that does not match the business model, a weak source-of-funds explanation, unclear shareholder background, unrealistic expected transactions, a missing website or company profile, and high-risk sectors or countries.
05Can a free zone company open a corporate account?
Yes. A well-structured free zone company with clear activity, proper documents and a professional explanation can be bankable. The mistake is choosing the cheapest package without considering how the company will look to a bank.
06How long does it take?
Typically three to ten working days with a UAE visa and Emirates ID in hand, one to three weeks for a shareholder without a visa who travels once, and three to eight weeks where the shareholder will not travel. The last route can fail, and we say so before you start.
